Today we drove 300 miles from Hillsville Virginia to Crossville Tennessee. We traveled through some really pretty country probably the nicest we’ve seen so far but nothing caught our eye along the way that we wanted to stop and investigate. There is an intriguing government concern in Knoxville called The National Y-12 Security complex. Judging by the name I doubt they would have invited us in for a tour.
We are staying the night at Breckenridge RV Resort, a small but very nice campground near Crossville. Although it is off the beaten track it has achieved success by selling cheap memberships. The attraction is not the resort but it’s affiliation with the discount programs, Coast to Coast and Resort Parks International.
Most Rv’ers with memberships never visit the resort, me included, this is my first time stopping here even though I can stay for $4 a night.
Tomorrow we travel to Nashville, a short trip of 100 miles. This will get us there in plenty of time to do some tourist sightseeing. We haven't decided how long we will be in Nashville; we’ll make that choice tomorrow.
