Low water is still hindering the ferry from Ocracoke Island to Hatteras, but we got off the island at 9 this morning and enjoyed an uneventful trip. We stopped in Kill Devil Hills for lunch and then continued north, taking the Bay Bridge and Tunnel to the Eastern Shore of Virginia. From there we drove about 100 miles, arriving at Leisure Point Resort a little after six this afternoon. The long driving day worked out well as it rained most of the way so there wasn’t anything to do anyhow.
We’ll be here till Friday morning, which will give me time to show Millie around the beaches of Rehoboth and Ocean City.
