I've been thinking about doing this for a long time but with the upcoming trip lasting approximately 3 months I figured it was time to git-er done. The partitioned area is at the foot of the bed, which is hinged for access to the under bed storage and in the raised position in the pictures. Maggie already has several places she likes to hide and nap in, but I think she and Dixie will use this space too, especially at night when they like to be close to us.
PS: This idea worked, both the girls liked to nest in their duplex dog house.
