It has been great fun escorting Larry around the fascinating areas of
Santa Fe and Los Alamos, New Mexico, sharing with him all the wonderful
sights and flavors such as the spicy Tex-Mex food, beautiful Jemez
Mountains, historical areas and the magnificent beauty of the ancient
ruins of the Santa Clara Native Americans. One of my greatest joys was
for him to meet my beautiful grandsons as well as to spend time with my
children Rae Anne and Dave. Of course, being the kind and generous man
that he is, Larry had to do some minor home electrical work during our
week there, for which Rae Anne and Dave are very grateful.
I have
always enjoyed my visits to the area since my children moved there
about twelve years ago because of employment. I, being a small town gal
from the Mid-Atlantic who has only experienced green mountains and east
coast coastlines was and still am, mesmerized by the beauty of the
canyons, mesas and rock formations with their beautiful colors as found
only in the Southwestern United States. I have truly enjoyed our
Cross-country “adventure” thus far and as I write this, we are at the
Grand Canyon Trailer Village located on the South Rim of the Grand
Canyon, which I found on my first view of the Canyon this afternoon,
simply breathtaking!
Life is good on the road!
